Q: What about conservation? The Yard Feeder feeds too fast to be about conservation.
A: One of our competitors advertises they feed at 400:1 on their fast setting and 15000:1 on their slow setting. This means on their fast setting they need to use 56.25% MORE water to do the same job as the Yard Feeder. On their slow setting they use over 5,700 times more water. Another system out there makes you plug into their jug of fertilizer, and it won’t even flow in some cases up to 3 GPM. When it will flow, it uses a 5600:1 ratio. That is over 2,000 times more water than the Yard Feeder needs to do the same job. It is no wonder why people are getting outstanding results with the Yard Feeder. Their high ratio is 38000:1. Who has that kind of water to spare? That is a whopping 14,700 times more water than is needed by the Yard Feeder to feed the same gallon of fertilizer! For you professionals that are going to say "Well it needs water anyway..." we can get the job done with far less water and this does matter in severe drought conditions. The last injector I want to mention, is a pulse injector. It feeds at a respectable 0-50cc per gallon. However, it has moving parts, needs to be calibrated zone per zone, and costs more. The choice is yours, but it looks to me like… that is exactly what the Yard Feeder is about…conserving… not only fertilizer but your watering dollars as well!

We do place responsibility with the end user. You have tremendous latitude with a Yard Feeder. We ask you exercise prudence and control with our system. Just because your stuff starts to look good, doesn’t mean you go crazy and feed more. Organics build up in the soil; over time you will actually use less and less.
